Ren Ng graduateded in 2001 with a B.S. in Math & Comp Sci. He went on to earn his M.S. (2002) and Ph.D. (2006) at Stanford in Computer Science.
He is the founder of Lytro, Inc., a company that revolutionized digital photography with its innovative new light field sensor allowing photos to be captured in four dimensions.
In 2015, he joined UC Berkeley's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as Assistant Professor.
